The Yarmouth Water District website filled a need for the 125-year-old organization to communicate with customers about the new building as well as provide reporting and invite participation. We started by creating a brand using the existing blue and yellow color palette (trucks are blue with a yellow stripe). We then worked with Fitzgerald Photo to show the team in action and document the energy-efficient building, we created a map to illustrate the water system, and we set up a system to post occasional alerts to the homepage.
Because we as customers, don’t often think about where our water comes from and how it gets to us, a changing message on the homepage helps communicate some of what happens behind the scenes so that we can simply turn on the tap.
